Apple CEO Tim Cook roared onto the stage at the Flint Center in Cupertino on Tuesday morning, wasting not a moment by jumping right into the announcement of the long-awaited, highly anticipated iPhone 6.
No matter how great its fingerprint sensor is or how elegant the new gold color looks when the iPhone 5S is unveiled next week, there's going to be an inevitable sense of disappointment when the lights come back on after Tim Cook's wrap-up.
But it won't be because the iPhone 5S is underwhelming or the iPhone 5C is too expensive. It'll be because we know too much.
We're heading into a three-day weekend for Memorial Day here in the United States, so we'll be taking a break on Monday, but promise to return on Tuesday with the mother of all weekend recaps. (Provided, of course, that stuff actually happens while we're watching parades and grilling hamburgers over the weekend.) If the separation anxiety is too much to bear, just read our Thursday recap twice, then set your alarm clocks for Tuesday a.m.!
Your well connected pals at Mac|Life will be seated mere feet from the stage, live blogging every beat of the action with lightening-fast finger speed. Join us Monday, June 11 at 9:00am PST for our official live blog of the WWDC 2012 keynote. Be sure sign in to the live blog to join the discussion with Editor-in-Chief, Chris Slate.
