The rumor mill is gearing up for iMac and Mac mini refreshes. Just in time for holiday shopping and to give Jan a dose of buyers remorse. Palm takes a stand and states that it will continue to enable iTunes syncing for the Palm Pre even though Apple keeps disabling it.
While there was a collective nerd groan after Apple's 09/09/09 "It's
Only Rock and Roll, But We Like It" failed to announce the mythical
tablet, old rumors and dreams die hard. Of course we never expected the
coming and going of any single date without a tablet to act as a rumor
killer. Which means that we can begin looking beyond the holiday
shopping season and on to 2010.

latest -- and greatest -- new factoid coming down the pike is that
Apple's possibly developing a 13" and a 15" tablet, as well as the 10"
Unless there's a supreme head-fake in the works, don't count on any major Tablet announcements on 09/09/09. Despite that, though, the rumors persist and in this case, multiply to the point that at least one person is claiming that there's not just one iPad in the works, but two models of different sizes.
Depending on which “insider information” you choose to believe, Apple
is going to release a tablet device any time between now and spring
2010. Though the online rumor mill can’t be relied on to give accurate
information, the arrival of a tablet device any day now seems like a
foregone conclusion. What would such a device look like? What hardware
would be inside? We haven’t yet successfully planted a mole in Steve
Jobs’ inner circle, but we can make a few fact-based guesses about an
Apple tablet’s key specs.
