I’m having trouble seeing the Dock icons for the latest Office for Mac
applications. I thought the Office 2004 for Mac icons were darker and
easier to see in my Dock. Is there a way to alter the Office 2008 for
Mac icons, or can I substitute one for the other?
I just got an iPhone 3GS, and I can’t connect to my Gmail in the Mail app. This worked just fine on my old iPhone, but now I’m getting an error message that says, “Cannot connect using SSL.” I can connect just fine to Gmail using Safari, but I’d prefer to use Mail.
Call me anal, but I like things to be in folders of my choosing, so I can find them later without going through my iPhoto library. Importing photos to iPhoto creates a new folder. I’ve figured out how to give that new folder (film roll) a name of my choosing. Sometimes I’d really like to add photos directly to (or import directly to) an existing iPhoto folder (film roll). Is there a way to do this?
I took a bunch of photos with my digital camera, but the clock on my
camera was set incorrectly. I’ve tried to fix this by changing the date
and time of these photos in iPhoto, but when I show these files in the
Finder, they still have the wrong date and time.
I upgraded to Safari 4 once it was out of beta--or so I thought. This
thing crashes all the time! Every time I open it, almost, it freezes up
and I have to force-quit. Sometimes this happens a few times before my
startup page will actually load. My friend who did use the Safari 4
beta and then upgraded to the final release says that, for him, the
beta was actually more stable! I do have SafariStand installed, even
though I never use it--could that be the problem? I don’t see an option
in the preferences to uninstall it. Can you help, or should I go back
My cousin sent me a party invitation as an email attachment, but my Mac won’t open it. The file is named invite.pub. I already called her and got the relevant details, but in case this happens again, do you know any Mac apps that can read a PUB file? I already tried Word 2008 and Preview.
