It's almost hard to remember what the web browser landscape was like on the Mac back in 2002, when Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0 dominated and Apple hadn't yet launched Safari, a product which owes a lot to Camino.
I have an older G5 Mac with the dual PowerPC CPUs. Because it is not an Intel based Mac, I have finally hit the software “wall” and cannot upgrade any further. I am looking for advice about web browsers, because I cannot install Chrome, Opera keeps crashing, and Firefox just doesn’t seem safe being at version 3.x. I’m not a huge fan of Safari, and upgrading to a new Mac isn’t an option right now.
No matter how happy you are with your current Web browser, chances are
you’ve wondered if another browser would make your Web wanderings
faster, easier, or at least a little more festive. We speculate about
that too (probably far too often), so we decided to run some tests,
compare features and figure out which browser currently rules the Web.
