Confirming Friday’s report that new iPad preorder ship dates have slipped past this Friday’s launch date, Apple says that demand for the new tablet has been “off the charts” -- with many eager buyers already lining up outside Apple retail stores to make sure they get one on March 16.
We're well underway into iPad 2 launch weekend, and already there's been a plethora of reports of the device selling out at Apple retail stores. Current ship times on models on Apple's site range anywhere from 2-3 weeks or even 3-4 weeks.
