Joe Hewitt is best known in App Store circles as the developer who created the excellent Facebook 3.0 app -- and then vocally abandoned the platform out of frustration with Apple’s approval process. But on the subject of the company’s new iPad, Hewitt is mincing no words.
In anticipation of the January 27th Apple event which everyone assumes will bring the fabled tablet to reality at long last, one iPhone developer has created a couple of awesome mockups showing off what it might be capable of.
Apple has always been fairly aggressive in protecting their product trademarks and likenesses, as The Little App Factory recently discovered when they received a letter from the law firm of Baker & McKenzie asking them to change the name of their Mac software, iPodRip.
reports that the eagerly awaited RPG Ravensword has been rejected by App Store reviewers, along with several other applications written with the Unity
engine. The engine includes API calls which, according
to one lawsuit, were used by Storm8 to steal phone numbers of people
playing the game and upload them wirelessly.
