EA has announced today that they'll be holding a 48 hour App Store fire sale. Over 25 of their titles will be on sale for just 99 cents each. Now, before you get too excited, it needs to be noted that the sale does not include the amazing new EA release, Dead Space, but there are still some very high quality gems on this list.
Console and PC gamers have been enjoying the delightfully frightening Dead Space games for over two years now. Now,iOS gamers will get their chance to experience the spooks of Electronic Arts' horror gaming franchise. Dead Space has reportedly already been released on the New Zealand App Store, and will be making its way to the United States tonight at 11 PM Eastern Standard Time.
If you were browsing the App Store this evening, you might have noticed a recurring theme in the top paid apps in the App Store. That theme being pretty much all the apps are by Electronic Arts. Why? The reason could be because the developer has made just about all of their apps 99 cents, including those for the iPad!
EA's Maxis studio is developing Darkspore, an action-and-role-playing game coming in early 2011. While it looks fun, expect a typical dungeon-crawler title--in sci-fi settings--not the playful, sandbox titles that established the developer.
