Look, we get it. Angry Birds is an unfathomable success. They've transcended cult-hit status and landed at culture defining app of the decade. Even though some people don't like them. But nowadays you can't even open the App Store without seeing a clusterfunk of feathers. Chances are you've never even heard of these birds, even though they currently nest in the Top 150 Apps. Today we hatch awareness of the other birds in the App Store.
Gamevil announced today that the third installment in their highly lauded Zenonia series has arrived in the North American App Store. If you're a fan of the old school 2D Legend of Zelda games from the 1990s then you would do well to check out Zenonia 3. We're pretty excited to slip back into our 2D adventuring boots to enjoy some grabbing some sweet magic loot and vanquish some evil(s).
For whatever reason, beards aren’t particularly common among video game protagonists. Certain stealth or action game heroes sometimes sport them (or at least heavy 5 o’clock shadow) but actual occurrences of thick, hirsute facial hair among leading men are somewhat rare. Whether it’s just an example of the casual influence of hipster aesthetic bleeding into game culture or just a response to Mario, we suspect the developers behind Kami Retro decided to go with a bearded protagonist to add a hair of uniqueness to its familiar design.
If there was a way to subscribe to developers games on iTunes, I would subscribe to these developers without batting my pretty eyelashes. These teams really innovate and entertain on a consistent basis.
