As we reported last week, Kairosoft, the makers of some of the most deviously addictive simulation games on iOS, have released their latest epic. It's called Mega Mall Story and we can't wait to get our hands on it.
The makers of the insanely addictive Game Dev Story and the equally solid Hot Springs Story are back with another release. This time the theme will revolve around creating an enormous mall for consumers to roam.
Kairosoft is a bit of a favorite around here at Mac|Life. Their first amazing cult-hit iOS game, Game Dev Story has earned its right as a permanent fixture on several of our iPhones. Kairosoft has now officially announced the Japanese release of Pocket School Story 2, though it's still unclear as to whether the game will be released in North America.
Even given some of the extremely bizarre games that have appeared on the App Store over the past years, Hot Springs Story may be one of the strangest. Rather than appeal to time-honored fantasies like being a sports star or space marine like most games today, Hot Springs Story appeals to those who have a burning desire to manage a Japanese hot springs resort, an obviously infinitesimally small niche on this side of the Pacific.
Game Dev Story was one of our favorite little-known titles from all of last year. It's wonderful blend of quirky humor and addictive gameplay grabbed us and didn't let go for days. Now, the game's developer, Kairosoft, has released a follow up to Game Dev Story titled Hot Springs Story.
