Mac OS 10 has given Mac users a slick GUI full of fancy visual goodies, and with the release of Lion right around the corner, it's only going to get slicker. However, we must not forget that Apple's attention to detail hasn't just been limited to their most recent releases -- they've always been pioneers on the interface front. Maybe they'll even inspire you to get your desktop spring-cleaning on.
I use a MacBook with an external monitor and keep the MacBook’s lid closed. When I want to go somewhere, I disconnect the MacBook from the display and stick it in my bag. But when I open the lid, the MacBook wakes up, and most of the time the icons that were on my Desktop are gone. The menubar and Dock are still around, just no icons. How do I bring them back? I’ve been restarting the MacBook every time, but that takes a while and isn’t so convenient.
Ah, another day, another to-the-point one-line email response from the desk of Steve Jobs. This time around, Apple's founder and CEO has rallied the full fury of his typing skills to protest against the evil-doers that would dare to protest the new hotness of iTunes 10's icon--you know, the one that just about everyone seems to hate.
