The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) published a patent today that demonstrates that Apple's probably not dragging its feet in the innovation department, after all. As reported by AppleInsider, the patent details a process that lets you manipulate digital objects with your hands above a touchscreen panel and not just by direct touch
It seems like everyday Apple is coming up with something new. Whether it's as basic as the iPad's bezel or as revolutionary as multi-touch, Apple's patents always leave us anticipating some exciting new technology. Steve Jobs may just be the greatest inventor of our age. We dug through Google Patents and found that Steve Jobs is listed as the primary or co-inventor on 241 patents. Granted, some of those inventions were duds, no doubt. But some were pure genius, and did nothing less than completely change the way we use technology in our lives.
So as he prepares to walk away from the company he built, left, and rebuilt into something bigger than anyone thought possible, lets take a walk through some of his inventions that moved the technological world.
