We don’t know about you, but since getting our mitts on an iPhone 4 last June, we haven’t touched our Flip Video or camcorder ever since. Apparently, we’re not alone, as parent company Cisco has just announced it’s closing the Flip business for good.
Spring has sprung and so the young's fancy turns to iPhones, at least according to one study we read this week. iPhones and iPads both, and the only reason we think they're not dreaming of iPods is because they already have them. And that, folks, is how you build a mobile empire. Let's see how that's working out for Apple, as far as apps and sales and hype and all the rest are concerned, just in case ya missed it this week.
Did you know the Verizon iPhone is lighter than the AT&T iPhone? How about that one uses an oscillating vibrator and the other uses a rotational motor? Obviously they have different antennas, but what does that mean for the “death grip”?
We waited years for the Verizon iPhone. We poured over rumor after rumor, and now it’s finally out…but there’s a catch: the iPhone 5 will probably hit stores in early summer. Both carriers will surely get it, and that leads to lots of questions. Before you give your hard-earned money and trust to a carrier, there’s an awful lot you need to know about their plans, their coverage, and your future phone.
We just recently reviewed the excellent 100 Cameras in 1 app, but while it may have 100 cameras...in one, it doesn't have anything quite as awesome as this. Admittedly, this retro-inspired camera filter is only really useful for nostalgia trips, but sometimes we all need a quick 99 cent vacation back to a simpler time. If nothing else, this app forces us all to take a step back and appreciate everything the iPhone 4 camera offers.
It’s been relatively quiet on the Verizon iPhone 4 front regarding sales figures, but that isn’t stopping the analysts from chiming in with some thoughts of their own -- such as this one, claiming that Verizon’s fast new 4G HTC ThunderBolt is outselling the iPhone 4.
It's not often that we absolutely fall in love with an iPhone and iPad stand, because there's not much that usually sets them apart. But the Rokform Rokstands, both the desktop and portable versions, captured our hearts.
While the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4 share a lot of the same DNA, there has been some debate as to how the tablet’s LCD screen holds up against its handheld sibling -- particularly regarding a small gap of air between the glass and the LCD panel itself. DisplayMate Technologies to the rescue!
Apple is continuing to pimp the iPhone 4, even in the wake of last Friday’s wildly successful iPad 2 launch, with three new television commercials that just hit YouTube. The theme of the new spots? “If you don’t have an iPhone… well, you don’t have an iPhone.”
One of the unfortunate aspects of a Wi-Fi only iPad is the lack of a GPS chip, which is only included in the 3G models that cost $129 more. However, it appears that tethering your iPad to your iPhone allows the tablet to also receive accurate GPS data as well.
