Rumors! Rumors! Nothing but rumors half the time! Well, we've got a few of those and plenty of other news. Just wait until next week, though, as September officiallykicks off "Overheated Speculation Month" for Apple watchers. Meanwhile, here's a few overheated news stories from this week that are raising up some dog day like weather around these parts.
Summer is quickly coming to an end, but that doesn't mean the music stops there. Apple just launched the iTunes Festival app for iPhone and iPad. The event will feature a month of live music that you can stream via AirPlay and your Apple TV, or to watch later and rock out to with headphones.
The 30 nights of live music begins tomorrow at London's Roundhouse venue and will feature acts like P!NK, Muse, Hot Chip, Deadmau5, David Guetta, Usher, Jack White, Norah Joan, Alicia Keys, Ellie Goulding, The Killers, and everyone's new favorite boy band, One Direction. You can check up the entire line up at the official site.
Another weekend is here, and it’s sure starting to feel like summer. After delaying a new iPhone until October of last year, Apple is surprising us again by shifting its annual iTunes Festival music event in the U.K. from July to September, but don’t worry: There should be plenty of summer fun coming from Cupertino, most likely in the form of OS X Mountain Lion and new Macs. In the meantime, keep up with all of the day’s highlights for this Friday, May 18, 2012.
