After taking some of Microsoft's money, Eolas is once again going to court over patent infringement issues. Apple and 22 other companies are now the target of a new patent infringement suit over the use of browser-embedded interactive Web content.
Psystar, the Florida-based manufacturers of the unauthorized Mac clones
that have been the scrutiny of a long-time court battle, has filed for
Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The move is likely to delay the proceedings in
the Apple case, though Psystar may not be able to finance its
continuing defense against Apple.
Steve goes on a leave of absence and leaves Tim Cook in charge of the day to day operations of Apple. While the staff wonders how long the Psystar case will go on considering the shaky legal ground Psystar is basing its arguments on.
