Though the iPad mini hasn't been a disappointment for Apple, many of the Cupertino company's devoted followers are holding out for the hope of an improved second-generation version of the diminutive tablet. Rumors about the next iPad mini including a Retina screen have been flowing ever since the launch of the original, sometimes with contradictory information. However, a new report from the Wall Street Journal indicates the wait for an iPad mini with Retina may soon be over.
If you've been holding out for a iPad mini with a retina display, you won't have to wait much longer. According to a statement by NPD DisplaySearch to CNET this morning, Apple will start mass producing Retina iPad minis later in the year, and as a bonus, it'll have one of the highest tablet resolutions currently on the market.
The new iMacs will finally go on sale this Friday, but a new report from the supply chain indicates you'll want to act quickly if you want one -- they'll be in short supply for the remainder of the year and into early 2013.
