We've got big deals to go with big computers today. Seriously, have you seen these 27" monitors and iMacs? They're just gorgeous and it turns out there's a few refurbs out there less than a year old. So if you've been in the market for an iMac, now's your chance.
Back in January, accessory maker Logitech announced plans to sell off its popular line of Harmony remote controls -- a decision the company has now only reversed, complete with a new app-powered solution added to the lineup.
We're big fans of Logitech's Harmony remote controls, and even though the company may soon divest itself of the division, they're moving forward with a new Smart Control edition that puts mobile devices in control of the living room.
Mac gamers aren't quite the mythical breed that they used to be, and it looks as though Apple itself is finally starting to catch onto that development. As AppleInsider reports, Apple held a 45-minute-long meeting at WWDC focusing on supporting licensed third-party gaming controllers for iOS 7, outlining the promise of the new APIs and even presenting some prototypes.
Wish you could video chat on the biggest screen in your home? Me neither. But for those who do, Logitech's TV Cam HD makes it happen in stunning detail. With an Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection, and HDMI-out to your TV, it lets you video chat from your couch, while a wide-angle Carl Zeiss lens puts the whole room on display in 720p.
Smart Pack is one of those names, like Genius Bar, that some will agree with while others will just roll their eyes. Bags are subjective, and this one from iHome doesn't ooze style, but it’s got some functional features some users might find attractive nonetheless. There's a dedicated place for each of your gadgets, starting with a padded laptop pocket right up against your back, lined with luxurious fake fur. I toted my 15-inch MacBook Pro there, eschewing its usual sleeve, and barely noticed its weight.
Kickstarter has long been the refuge of the "little guy"--the place where independent developers can gain funding for quirky projects that otherwise may never see the light of day--but now it appears the big guys are starting to pay attention as well. Today Logitech announced its acquisition of TT Design Labs, which received considerable media attention after a Kickstarter for its "TidyTilt" accessory for the iPhone brought in over $200,000 last year. Starting today, Logitech's rebranded (and apparently improved) version of the product is available for preorder, and we had a chance to speak with co-founder Derek Karnow ahead of the announcement.
