Whew! Hopefully you made it through Monday's April Fool's Day unscathed and are ready to get back to business. With the first calendar quarter of 2013 already behind us, there's plenty to look forward to in the months ahead, and Apple is giving developers their first taste of what's to come with an initial beta for OS X 10.8.4 -- which just so happens to kick off our Monday recap...
After two days of wandering Moscone West, in the end it didn't matter much that Macworld is a smaller show than it used to be: my feet are just as sore, my pockets as full of business cards, and my notepad just as full of cool products I'm looking forward to reviewing. Check out this gallery of the best things I saw.
Macworld is here! The biggest bestest event for fans of everything Apple kicked off today at Moscone West in San Francisco, with an all-day session on iPhoneography. If you're interested in the other sessions and speakers taking place throughout the weekend, be sure to download the official Macworld/iWorld official app, or visit macworldiworld.com.
Highlights of what I saw today (day zero?) after the jump!
Three years ago, Apple bowed out of the Macworld Expo, leaving the convention halls barren and fans wondering about the future of the show. Though it took awhile to get its new bearings, the convention has since picked up a bit. The Macworld Expo has transformed into a showroom for upcoming products from third-party manufacturers that consumers didn't get the see at CES, a forum for App developers to get a feel for what consumers really want to do with their iOS devices, and a place where fans can connect to show off how simple it is to get creative with the Mac. Watch the video to see what show-goers thought about this year's Macworld/iWorld Expo, and whether or not they think the new name will actually stick.
Does it feel like a long week to anyone else? Yeah, we know it’s only Tuesday, but still… the weekend can’t come soon enough! The week has brought bad news for both Netflix and Amazon (both taking a hit after reporting third-quarter results), but there are plenty of other things happening as well. Take a look at what you might have missed for this Tuesday, October 25, 2011.
Like the week of the Verizon iPhone, there was one story that was the dominator of the news here, and that story was Macworld Expo 2011. We've got videos, we've got galleries, we've got stories, we've got interviews. We've got it all. And here it all is, just in case...yeah, yeah, you know, just In Case You Missed It.
We're back at Macworld Expo for another day of seeing cool things, meeting cool people, and walking really slowly. Our feet are sore, our iPhones are bulging with new contacts (but AT&T's network is holding up like a champ, it must be said), and our backpacks are sagging with swag and empty water bottles. Join our fun with a spin through some photos taken from the show floor on day 2.
The Expo is also open tomorrow from 10am to 6pm, so if you're in the San Francisco area, stop by and check it out!
