Like the week of the Verizon iPhone, there was one story that was the dominator of the news here, and that story was Macworld Expo 2011. We've got videos, we've got galleries, we've got stories, we've got interviews. We've got it all. And here it all is, just in case...yeah, yeah, you know, just In Case You Missed It.
One of the coolest additions to last year’s Macworld Expo was the addition of the Mobile Applications Showcase, a section of the show floor dedicated to iOS developers and their wares, which returns for Macworld 2011.
One category of iOS app that’s really pushing the boundaries of the platform is music, which is making a splash at Macworld 2011. In addition to a number of iOS software and accessory developers on hand to show off their wares, the expo also features a section of the show floor dedicated to iOS and Mac music, the Macworld Music Studio.
We're back at Macworld Expo for another day of seeing cool things, meeting cool people, and walking really slowly. Our feet are sore, our iPhones are bulging with new contacts (but AT&T's network is holding up like a champ, it must be said), and our backpacks are sagging with swag and empty water bottles. Join our fun with a spin through some photos taken from the show floor on day 2.
The Expo is also open tomorrow from 10am to 6pm, so if you're in the San Francisco area, stop by and check it out!
Congratulations to the winners of the Mac|Life Awards for 2011! We scoured the floor at Macworld Expo to find the coolest new hardware and software, and unearthed these geeky bits of goodness. Bust out your credit card, because we think you'll want them as much as we do.
It's called Macworld Expo, but there's plenty of hardware to go with your iOS devices, too. We saw everything from clothing to enhance your iPad use, to innovative chargers, speakers, and even a iPad-compatible cooking thermometer to help you become a grill master.
The Macworld Expo 2011 show floor opened on Thursday, and we were there soakin' up the giddy, geeky vibes. Crowds of Mac lifers inched their way through the packed aisles of Moscone West in search of the perfect iPhone accessory, head-turning iPad case, or their next must-have piece of life-improving software. Between oohs and aahs over all the gadgets, we snapped some pics of the show floor to give you a feel for how it's going so far.
Keep an eye on MacLife.com for more galleries today and tomorrow!
Looking to spruce up your skills in Mac hardware? The MacTech Boot Camp at next week's Macworld 2011 will be in full force. Whether you're looking on honing your already pretty elite hardware tinkering skills, or wondering how to integrate Mac into your lifestyle, join the MacTech crew at the Parc 55 Hotel in San Francisco on Wednesday, January 26th, from 9am-6pm.
Everyone knows about what a great place the Macworld Expo is for discovering great new Apple-centric products. Those who have attended the Expo can also attest to how much cash you can spend over the course of a visit to the Expo's many vendors and companies. If you're not careful, you could go in a rich man, and by the end of the day end up a gadget-laden pauper. Fortunately, starting year, visitors to the event will also be able by trading in their old iPhones to e-Cycle in exchange for some brand new greenbacks, making the purchase of new toys a little less painful.
Macworld Expo '11 in January will be home to the 12th in a series of group Macworld events organized by the User Group Advisory Board. During the User Group Reunion 2011, conference goers will be able to see old friends and make new ones, enjoy refreshments, see highlights of past user group gathers, and enjoy many fun surprises.
