Even though some people have already had their MMS capabilities
activated by AT&T, leading to speculation the carrier would
slow-roll out the feature to avoid network strain, the Friday,
September 25 date is holding firm.
We discuss last week's iPod event and what Apple released and what they didn't. We still pine for an updated Apple TV, and MMS for the iPhone begins a slow rollout. Let's just say we're not surprised to be excluded from the lucky few to be picked to have MMS early.
While it's only two years too late, AT&T has decided that for a
select few users they would add MMS functionality two weeks early.
While the official date is set for September 25th, it's possible the
carrier might attempt a slow-roll-out of the new service just to let
steam off ahead of the launch.
