Last week MobileMe underwent a complete redesign. With only 2-hours notice, members didn’t really know what to expect other than the service was just going down for regular maintenance. But when MobileMe came back online, it had a completely redesigned user interface that’s fresh and inviting, and a few new features were thrown in as well.
After Thursday night’s two-hour MobileMe scheduled maintenance, the Me.com website is back and has a fresh new look, as seen in the screenshot above. But the changes go deeper than a pretty homepage, and also include a new free Find My iPhone app.
We brought it to you earlier this morning that the MobileMe site was to go down this evening for some scheduled maintenance from 10PM PD to Midnight. Some new details have come out as to just what some of that 'maintenance' may bring about. We should see a new finalized Mail update, and a new app version of Find My Phone, amongst others.
“Attention, Kmart shoppers! We have a cleanup in the MobileMe aisle from 10pm until Midnight PST on Thursday, June 17, presumably as we prepare for the iOS 4 upgrade onslaught coming on Monday. That is all.”

Without even a beta application to demo, Microsoft is already touting its Windows Live Essentials software to technology consumers around the globe. Last Wednesday, the software behemoth revealed its new applications suite and what was coming over to WindowsLivePreview.com.
I use a MacBook Air for work, which keeps my backpack light. I’d like your recommendation for software that will let me access my iMac at home from the MacBook Air. I just want to access the iMac to retrieve a file, maybe an email, and that’s it. I know there’s LogMeIn and Back to My Mac (I’m a MobileMe subscriber), but I’d appreciate your expert opinion.
