Last year, the top three Russian wireless carriers all ditched the iPhone after claiming Apple's terms of sales weren't favorable. Flash-forward to today, and the same carriers have little choice but to sign on the dotted line again.
The new iPhones have been on sale for almost a week now, but only for those who patronize the nation's four largest carriers. Thankfully, that appears to be changing next week, with regional carriers being added to the mix.
Remember all those stories from years ago about the lengths wealthy Russians went to in order to get their hands on an iPhone? Apparently, Apple has fallen out of favor in the former Soviet country, where Windows Phone is becoming more popular.
It seems as if Amazon has waved the white flag of surrender against Apple's iTunes Match today, beefing up its Cloud Player service with a few features that sound awfully familiar to iTunes users. But hey, the more the merrier, and we're quite happy to have all of our Amazon MP3 purchases available for redownload just the same.
