Apple and Beats isn't the only acquisition making headlines this week: TechCrunch reported Thursday that legendary suitcase manufacturer Samsonite is acquiring smartphone and tablet case maker Speck Products in an $85 million cash deal. Speck is one of the top four accessory makers for such devices, and with an estimated $2.3 billion worth of cases sold in the U.S. alone last year, it's not hard to imagine why Samsonite wants to enter that market. Mustbin is a free app geared toward life’s most precious data – credit cards, driver’s licenses, Social Security cards, and more. However, the developers have also empowered the app as a kind of digital jack-of-all-trades that can be used for sorting photos or even password-protected accounts into digital “bins.”
