If you're a huge addict of Plants vs. Zombies like we are here at Mac|Life headquarters, then you'll love this rumor: a teaser image sent out in an email blast over the weekend has PopCap asking fans of the franchise to save the date for August 2nd. The image also suggests that this event might have something to do San Francisco, but that part is still unclear.
Confirming speculation from earlier this week, PopCap Games announced
this morning that an enhanced iPad version of its smash hit casual
game, Plants vs. Zombies, is not only in the works, but now available
to purchase from the App Store.
Who knew zombies were omnivores? Plants vs. Zombies presents a cuddlier
take on these murderous undead. They really want to eat your brains,
but they shamble in a straight path to your house, snacking on
landscaping that gets directly in their way. Thankfully, your garden
fights back, with pea-shooting plants, exploding peppers, giant
flytraps, and dozens more. You’ll plant these defenses to stop the
zombies in a sly, simple game with compelling strategy.
