With the annual Macworld Expo upon us, iPhone-wielding fans of all things Apple will descend upon our beloved San Francisco. For those of you who’ll be joining us, we’ve put assembled a short list of must-have apps. Load these on your ’Phone or ’Pad and you’ll confidently navigate the City’s many splendors. Might want to load these before you arrive, though. AT&T’s 3G coverage here is less than ideal, and with the VeriPhone still weeks away, you could find your evening slipping away while your downloads trickle in. Oh and one bit of advice: don’t ever ever use the term “Frisco.”
Can you feel the excitement in the air? Apple has a media event coming on Wednesday, September 1 and if you happen to live anywhere near the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco where it’s all going down, you might have seen a preview of what’s to come.
This morning, we hung out with some fabulous Apple fans at the downtown
Apple Store in downtown San Francisco. The two lines of Apple faithful
extended around the block, and almost every eager patron had their hands
filled with free Krispy Kreme donuts and Starbucks coffee. We went down
the line to ask a few of the loyal patrons about the first thing
they'll do with their iPad. Some were incredibly eager to take home the
package and rip it apart, while others were more impressed with how it
will function as a developer tool. Take a look at the video for
all the highlights--there's even a special appearance from iJustine.
Welcome to San Francisco Macworld Expo attendees! Now that you've got
your bag filled with nerd-related goodies, you should take a break from
the expo floor and check out the glorious city of San Francisco.
So you're in town for Macworld. And we're sure you're having a crackjack time at the show and the parties and the meetups and the over-crowded Starbuckses, but trust us, you should try to find a few hours to break out of the Reality Distortion Field and venture away from Moscone. Seriously, there's a big city out there.
To that end, here are a few of our favorite locations for eating, drinking, and just not being at Macworld for a little while. We've even marked all these locations on a fabulous Google Map.
