So yeah, never mind about those iPhone 6 images which "leaked" onto the internet this week -- turns out they were indeed bogus, and frankly, we're glad to hear it since our iPhone 5s is still quite spry and not ready to be put out to pasture quite yet. We are, however, ready to sign off for the three-day weekend to celebrate some dead Presidents, so look for our usual weekend recap on Tuesday next week!
Square Cash is a deceptively simple new way for consumers to send money using only email and a debit card. Unlike competing payment services, there’s no password to remember, no fees at either end or an account to set up, although you can use an existing Square login should you have one. Here’s how it works: Open the app, enter a dollar amount on the keypad, tap "Attach to Email," and enter the recipient’s email address. After you hit send, the app’s job is complete – Square replies via email, requesting your debit card number, expiration date, and zip code.
There are plenty of ways to send money to family and friends, but few of these services make it easy to do. The folks at Square have come up with a new way to do it, and using an app is actually a secondary option.
