Palm, whiners of the tech universe, got pwned by the USB Implementers
Forum after complaining about iTunes blocking the Pre from syncing. If
you haven’t been following the Palm vs. Apple drama, here’s a quick
Apple's Mac OS X v10.6 was released two weeks ago and for most of us the
transition from Leopard to Snow Leopard went by without incident.
However, we've spent part of the last few weeks scouring Apple's discussion
boards and support site for solutions to problems people have been
reporting with the upgrade.
Oh, Palm Pre, how
dearly you wish you were an iPhone, going so far as to trick iTunes
into recognizing you as such. But, you know what, Pre? You're not an
iPhone. You're never going to be an iPhone no matter how many times you
update your OS.
I have an iPhone, and I sync it to my Mac at home. If I plug it into
my Mac at work, will it try to sync to that Mac? I don’t keep much on
that machine, just work stuff, and I don’t want all my personal
contacts, mail, calendars, and music on my iPhone replaced with data
from my work computer.
