We're at $509, yay! MaximumPC is at $612, which is more than we have but also kind of yay. We've already given away some rad prizes, and the Week 2 prize is pretty awesome too. Find out what it is and how you can win it after the jump...
Another year, another chance to help public school kids. This month we are once again raising money for DonorsChoose.org, an excellent charity that lets teachers submit proposals for projects they can't get funded otherwise. This year we're raising the bar with awesome prizes you can win, plus a built-in competition with our friends at MaximumPC. It's Mac users versus PC users, battling for generosity bragging rights!
More about DonorsChoose and the fabulous Week 1 prize, after the jump...
Congratulations to Ron, who won our Speck iPhone 4 cases contest. Ron will have a set of six Speck cases arrive at his house very soon, along with a nifty reusable bag that he can carry fruits and veggies in. Ron, be sure to send us some photos of your farmer's market or grocery store finds, and how they pair with one of your new iPhone cases!
Thanks to everyone who participated in the contest! And don't worry if you didn't win anything; there will be plenty of other times you can try your luck for some free cases. Or, hey, maybe try your luck for some Dr. Dre Beats headphones or a nifty NetShare.
Here at Mac|Life, we’re crazy about iPhone apps. And since we’re always testing the newest and hottest apps, our iTunes libraries are packed with everything from text editors and blogging apps, to silly stuff like Robot Unicorn Attack, and no-longer-available contraband like NetShare (shhhh! Don’t tell Apple). But we want to know what’s in your library. So comment below with the total number of apps in your library, and a list of your top ten most-used apps.
Everyone has a favorite “headphone jam,” and we want to know what yours is. Leave us a comment below with the song title and artist of your favorite tune for headphone listening, and you just might win a sweet pair of iPhone-compatible headphones. We’ll pick a winner at random, but you can only enter once. Good luck!
This month, we want to know which Mac|Life editor you think will reign supreme in a single elimination Strategery tournament. Place your bet on Susie, Robbie, Ray, Florence, Paul, or Nic below. We’ll battle it out, and pick a contest winner at random from bets placed for Mac|Life’s Master of Strategery. But bet wisely, because we only allow one entry per person.
We're not sure what exactly is going on in this photo (after the jump), so we're
asking you to tell us. It's one of our favorite shots captured at the
2010 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. Show us how funny and
clever you can be by writing a caption for this image (keep it clean,
please!). As usual, the Mac|Life editors will pick our favorite and send the winner an excellent prize.
