iOS 8 in its latest iteration continues to make news and shake things up. Why was there the glitch that released the broken update? What are some more hidden tricks, tips, and tweaks in the latest operating system. But probably the biggest newsmaker this week was Apple Pay and how some retailers are reacting (hint: not good).
Well, we're entering the home stretch of the last few weeks before the release of the iPhone 6. Have the spate or articles and leaks and so on dampened enthusiasm or stoked it? Guess we'll find out soon enough. At the very least, this week's been heavy on the iPhone 6 "news" so let's see what we have in the hopper for Labor Day weekend.
Let's see, what's on television Thursday nights? Anything good? Oh, let's not talk about The Office, 30 Rock, Grey's Anatomy, or any of those other shows. How about you set your Tivo to record those and instead, focus all of your attention to this Thursday's profile of Steve Jobs on Bloomberg television. The show will chronicle Jobs' journey from college dropout to Silicon Valley king, and the advancements and achievements he's managed in the technology sector since then. The show will also feature interviews with those who know him, like The Woz, and those who admire all of his work.
The Woz is one of our favorite people on Earth. He's such a jolly man, that whenever we see his face we can't help but smile with him. So imagine our delight when we saw that his 60th Surprise Birthday put such a huge smile on his face, as well.
We're going to keep this short, because if we go on about our love for The Woz, we'll never be able to finish this blog post. Steve Wozniak is scheduled to appear on The Big Bang Theory sometime later this year. Whether he'll be strolling in, riding on a Segway is another news story entirely.
