I'm not a fan of messenger bags for me but this looks like a great design. I love the purple on the other one.

I need this bag!

That orange and green messenger bag is SEXY! I would use it for school so it would probably carry my iPad, textbooks, and you know ....stuff.

Love the "messenger" bag. I can put my phone, iPad and and MacBook inside it, and still have room for my binder and a textbook. And it easily fits over my shoulder so I can access my wallet for my bus pass.

winning this bag will inspire me to move past the mini into the world of ipad.

The green bag would be ideal for all the traveling I do...

I prefer the standard bag. Messenger bags are cumbersome in small areas.
Both are amazing though.

I like the green/orange one because it's slick lookin'. I would definite keep my macbook and ipods in there

I like both of the bags, but I have two I use every day. One is a rolling backpack, that has my work MBP 15", chargers, cables, hard drives, noise canceling headphones, car chargers for iTems, external batteries with dock connectors and USB ports, my camera, mini-displayport adapters, etc. etc. etc.

The other is a new small, light bag to hold -my- 13" Air, ac adapter, iPad, and as few other items as possible. I'm ordering a grid-it if I don't win this one!

I use an old Jansport called 'The Motherlode' tho
I finally have to admit my back won't take it anymore.
I carry a 9yr old iBook, a Kindle, iPhone with various battery
packs (I live off grid), as well as emergency/survival items, snacks
and dry organic instant coffee. Several notebooks, maps, a couple
books, knitting needles. And a few dozen other little things.
Oh, I love the green Synapse! Hopefully it's cheaper somewhere!

Currently I use an old messenger bag I got at Old Navy. It has a great camel color and is a tough canvas. The benefit is all the pockets; my ipod in one, phone in another, cables in yet another, and with an inside separator I can keep both my macbook and my ipad with me at all times! The only trouble is that this bag is about 10 years old and is now pretty much held together with staples and string I have rigged into its design. A new bag for all my Apple gear, especially one from the awesome staff at Mac/Life, would be the coolest thing to happen since I found this bag all those years ago!

love the bags and items in them!!

I have the L.L.Bean heatwave messenger bag. I use it on my daily metro (i.e., the D.C. subway) commute to carry a few random work-realted papers, a book, and my lunch. The two things I really like about it are its reasonable price ($40) and the fact that it comes in a smaller size (just 13" wide).

I have multiple bags: Timbutu, Swiss, Targus and Oligo. Still looking for the perfect bag for carrying my 13" MBP, iPad, iPod Touch and all the accessories (bluetooth keyboard, mouse, cables, mobile hotspot, etc.) that I have picked up along the way to make my devices more usable. I am getting ready to get a Mac Book Air to supplement my MBP. I am downsizing in order to reduce weight and be more mobile.

I think the Synapse Backpack would be it....

The Synapse Backpack is the perfect downsizing pack, but I am not to jazzed about the color (purple).

The accessories would be useful as I already have many iDevices that could use them, particularly the Dinovo Mini Keyboard would be a welcome addition as I could then relegate by Apple Bluetooth keyboard to supporting my 13' MBP. I could use the Surge iPhone Charger to support my iPod Touch as well as the Flipsync Dock Cable. The Muzx Mesh-MZX106W Headphones would be a great replacement of my aging Sony earbuds. I already own a Pogo Stylus, but an extra would not hurt and I have the Apple iPad case for my Pad so I think that the La Robe Allure iPad Case would be a little to colorful for me, but then again, who knows.....

Now, I wonder if I could talk them into throwing in the Crid-IT Organizer, the Ego Portable Hard Drive (any color - smile) and the Lacie 4GB USB Keys. To top it off, I would even trade the Muze Headphones for Etymotic HF3!!!!!! I know, I know - wishful thinking (sigh) ....

Oh, you know, I would use it to hold all the cool toys Santa's bringing me this year. I've been a really good boy. Like an ipad and all the accessories that would make me happy.

avatar

I'm torn between the two. I like the messenger bag for ease of access and cool look. I like the back pack for spreading the wealth of weight onto both shoulders.

avatar

I always cram too much into my bag, on the 'better safe than sorry' theory which postulates that if you have the cord you need, you won't need it...... Currently toting a MacBook Pro, trackball, firewire 800 & 400 & USB & e'net cables, bluetooth headphones, wired headphones, three different power supplies, iPod, pens, paper, a novel, ...... Well, you get the idea..... I used to use a Samsonite Carbon2010 backpack but switched to a Tom Bihn CheckPoint Flyer messenger style - thus far, airport security is a much nicer experience without having to dig the laptop out!

The Synapse Backpack is awesome and my pick. With it, I would carry all sorts of goodies including the iPad, a La Robe Allure iPad Case, a flipsync dock cable, the Surge iPhone Charger, Etymotic HF3 Headphones, a Grid-It Organizer, and Ego Portable Hard Drive.

All good gear to have!

I have vertical messenger bag thing from Incase that I absolutely love. I can carry my iPad, some folders, a book or two and all the necessary cords and cables to keep me running. Sometimes I carry just my Macbook, but either way it's a great bag. I love the look of the Tim Bihn backpack, though.

avatar

ewoz

I have my stuff in a brown canvas bag that I screenprinted a design onto. Pens, big notebook, and my macbook in a padded sleeve. And probably a pack of gum somewhere in there.

avatar

jlindner

Right now I have no bag for Macbook Pro. I'd love to have a Timbuk 2 one for it, my iPad, and my Mac books and tools I use at my job.

avatar

1000ninjas

I would go for the messenger bag. The accessories are great, and it would be spacious enough to carry my portable recording gear.

avatar

ejpostma

Favorite bag = my old green backpack. Usually loaded with books and occasionally a laptop. Which would be an old Dell Latitude tablet from work.

avatar

drewg10

I would prefer the crumpler messenger bag. I would use it to carry around my laptop, my mouse, my ipod, my iphone, my portable ipod dock, my maclife magazines and much more. I think this bag would be perfect for me.

avatar

Belladatura

While I use a backpack (from my college days) now, I love the messenger style bag!

avatar

Keitadonna

I like the green and orange one. I could use it for my MacBook Pro.

avatar

Best road warrior bag is the Tumi Alpha: it carries it all: Portfolios, journals, media, adapters, cords, Maui Jims, and of course the MacBook Pro, iPods and their accessories. Best quick bag is the Speck PortPack: Easy access, plenty of room for the necessities, and cradles the MB Pro like a Mother Roo packing her little Joey.

BugOut Bag with my 13 inch unibody macbook, change on uniform, gym clothes, vibram FiveFingers, camera, iPhone.

I have had an old targus backpack for three years now-it's kinda boring, but functional. I like the leather messengers at fossil, I just haven't been willing to drop the extra cash for one. In my trusty-ole targus I keep an extra charger for my iPhone , a DVI to VGA adapter along with a vga cable, an iPhone to component cable, a Scan Disk 8g usb drive and a stainless steel Buck knife.

If I am doing a lot of walking, I prefer the backpack otherwise I think the messengers are more stylish.

avatar

My favorite: my handy-dandy homemade murse, which holds my iPad and a little bit more.

avatar

CanonRebelz

I like the green bag. I would store my iPod in it, portable 320GB harddrive, maclife magazine, school books, etc. I unfortunately could not store a macbook, as I have a 21.5 inch iMac.

avatar

Hambone

Love the orange bag. Messenger bags are the best and keep the cool in carrying apples.

avatar

aliwrytes1969

hi.... the backpack - it'll take the weight off my shoulders and keep my neurosurgeons from hollering at me :) - it'll hold my iPad, iPhone, Macbook and still.... look like a way cool mom of teens :)

Yup, I could use one. My sons can use the swiss gear - weighs too much!

(And guys & girls ... you'll keep me from looking like a dork with a wheeled backpack on my way to school :) - a DEF "I WANNNNNT IT"

loving the magazines.... Ali

Both products look spacious, yet extremely portable. The color choices are vibrant and unique which will make others green with envy. I currently use a gray Incase nylon sling sleeve. It's color is a stark contrast to the colorful products above. I carry with me my 13'' macbook, my round mousepad, a bluetooth mouse, and a Mac|Life magazine of course!

I believe the Purple bag would match my eyes.

My laptop bag now is a useless piece of foam that is starting to rub out in places, and I'm very protective of my macbook. I'm both a messenger-bag/public-transport person and a backpack-hiking/spine-loving person so I would be ecstatic with either of these bags! But I'm def leaning towards the messenger bag because the accessories kick backpack butt. I absolutely love the laptop case, the hard drive would save my life, and the organizer would help me loads with my art supplies. You guys seriously rock!

Right now, I use a well-worn laptop sleeve for my MBPro. Because it is somewhat flexible, I can generally cram my adapater and a few other accessories into it along with the laptop. However, my wife has made it clear that this as a technological embarassment and hopes I will soon graduate to an actual "Tech Bag." I have explained, of course, that this would necessiate my acquiring new goodies to fill all the pockets, but she still maintains that fashion trumps finance. What a woman... ;-)

I currently use my old trans by Jansport backpack. Its got about four or five years of use out of it so far. Its got some small holes but it still does the job for now. I use it to carry my college books, ipod touch, charger for the touch, sometimes my laptop if i can get it to fit in it (which is usually never), and the laptops power cords.

avatar

bn_alvarado

I like the purple Synapse backpack. I currently have a an Ella Vickers recycled sail cloth messenger bag. Love it, but the one strap over the shoulder kills during travel. I like all the compartments and possibilities the Tom Bihn Backpack provides.

avatar

madaro89

I like a lot the orange one. I will use my bag to go to starbuck for a cofee and to travel to all different places bringing inside my charger and my macbook. Aslo my 1 TB hard drive and my ipod touch. I dont have a Ipad yet but if I get this back I will think more on getting one so I can use the things that come inside.

Put me down for one. I love the magazine and I have been getting them for 2 years.

Well, I'm currently using a North Face Backpack for all my carry needs which would include items such as...

MBP 13"
Canon 450D, Flash, extra lens, SD cards..
Ipod
headphones
reports for work
pens
pencils

Has seen better days and looking for a replacement and either bag up for grabs would fit my needs.

Thanks..

All I want for Christmas is...
the contents of the green bag.
I've been looking into buying another wireless mouse and keyboard to control my laptop while on the couch but none of the ones i bought seem to work. I thought about the Apple keyboard and Apple mouse pad, but who knew Logitech made a combination of the two??? On top of that, I keep losing my iPod/iPhone USBs. **Downfall of not having an organized bag** And who's gonna argue with a free charger that's also an iPhone case ?? Certainly not I.

avatar

omaharon

I would use the orange & green bag to carry my ipod, ipad, camera, connecting cables, power plugs, ear buds, and a pen

avatar

sallyon8legs

Oooh. I am lusting over that messenger bag. It'd be perfect for my MacBook Pro, Wacom Tablet, sketchbook, iPod Touch & all the cables that go along with them, not to mention all my art supplies!

avatar

madmacca72

I'd love to win the Messenger bag. I would definitely put my macbook pro in there, plus my audition book and zoom H2 recorder. Perfect for the NY actor walking to auditions and rehearsals!

avatar

rclarkak

Wow what a bag. There goes my iPad and needed acessories. MacBook Pro again with all needed goodies. It would also hold a set of ear phones. Thanks for the try

The orange/green is the 1for me!
