The Messenger's the one for me. Gotta have a shoulder bag. Just sling it and go.

I love the purple bag. I'd keep my future iPad, wireless keyboard, some MacLife magazines, some books, my iPod touch, its charger and other cables :)

Right now, I use an Athletech messenger bag, which I picked up at Kmart a while back. It's nothing fancy, but it holds all my stuff including my netbook (Samsung N310), my iPod Touch 2G,headphones, my cellphone (Samsung Slash from Virgin Mobile), a mouse, my writing utensils, 3 flash drives,a cleaning cloth, some reading material (2 PC magazines, including Maclife!),a few CDs, my wallet, and various cords. I'd love to have that messenger bag since I would never be able to afford most of that stuff! ;)

Every day I go to my job as a technical support analyst at a Global law firm. I have to troubleshoot Windows 7 all day. I have to resolve issues with MS Office 2007 all day.

On my desk is a MacBook Pro. I have connected it to the network, I have created a Windows 7 AD name for it on the domain. It is in stealth mode all day. The NetOps Group does not know it's there. It uses Office 2011 to get my e-mail, edit Word docs, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint slideshows. It connects to our Citrix server with no problems, it prints to the network printers, it does not crash, it does not lock up.

Sometimes, it goes to the courtroom for a trial. I have put a piece of gray duct tape over the Apple logo so that no one gets freaked out.

It does not care much for the black laptop bag it has to live in.

My killer Booq bag is loaded everyday with my MacBook Pro, Klipsch earbuds, gum, and pictures my daughter drew or colored for me. That, along with the style and comfort of the Booq bag, is all I need to get me through the day. Messenger bags rule!!! The Crumpler looks like at great bag and, of course, the MacLife staff has stuffed it with the right stuff. Would be a worthy replacement, well great backup at least, for my Booq.

I currently use a Keen shoulder bag which typically carries my iPad, iPod, Sure EC2 Headphones, jump drive, small digital camera, blackberry smart phone, keys, wallet, Mac Life magazine, spare firewire and usb cables, my metro card and a snack. I would love a new bag.

Well, I absolutely love my Ally Capellino for Apple messenger bag and not just because I can fill it to the brim with my Macbook Pro, Hypermac battery, a veritable cornucopia of Tootsie pop wrappers not to mention loads of novels, Wacom tablet, and numerous packs of bubble gum too. But truth be told, Ally didn't design a pocket big enough for my iPhone, so the Crumpler orange bag would fill all my needs and those sweet headphones would rock my world!

I currently travel with my CaseCrown Vertical Messenger bag for the iPad. It never leaves my room without my current MacLife Magazine for those down times in college classes, my v-moda headphones for jamming out on my iPhone 4 riding my bike to classes. I always have my Arizona State University sticker on the front showing my school spirit. The all important Trident Layers gum rests in the small accessories pocket alongside my screen cleaner and cloth. Also included is my 64 GB iPad 3G of course keeping me connected and ahead of my game as a hard working college freshman. Also included is my 16 GB Cruzer jump drive and portable 500 GB Hard drive helping me take my large photos and videos back and forth between computers when I choose to leave my 17 MacBook Pro I saved my money up to buy my freshman year of high school in my dorm room. Lastly is my most prized possession and the most important accessory for any college student, my bottle of Este Lauder Intuition for men cologne, because there is nothing more important then smelling magnificent while looking classy to the young ladies of the college life style.

The style is essential, and both the backpack and messenger bags will not only assist me in the search for that special lady, but also in the productivity as a college student. If I had a bag capable of carrying all of my Apple toys and tools of my many trades, I would be more productive, capable and efficient with the least amount of effort possible.

Currently rocking a Hurley bag, I love the separate compartments which let me use one for my macbook fulltime. My macbook practically lives in my bag along with all of my on the go accessories. Even with all of this stuff in the bag, it still leaves me lots of room to but textbooks, or a change of clothes for a quick road trip. Unfortunately, this bags life is almost up, one shoulder strap is half ripped off and there are multiple tears and rips. But even with all those faults, it is still my goto bag, at least until that shoulder strap completely falls off! Oh, and did I mention that the bag has sick style points!

I don't have a bag for my MacBook 17", yet. So it almost never get to go anywhere. A waste, really. And I promise to not even be moderately embaraassed ;-)

I like the crumpler bag, though I am currently using a leather bag from Louis Vuitton with my iPad. Of Course, I would love to store my MacAir in the crumpler bag.

avatar

MomOfHarper

Would love the messenger bag for my 13" MacBook Pro and all its accessories: power cord, travel mouse, USB hub, Mac remote, and more. The bag could also house my iPod & earbuds, a dog-eared paperback, and my leather journal.

avatar

biblioholicbeth

I don't currently have a bag, but have been looking for one. I'd have cables, my mouse, portable external drive...and probably my kindle.

Still using an ancient three compartment duffle that holds my iPad, bberry, notes, chargers and a ton of travel essentials

avatar

Well, since it's winter, I keep all my stuff in my coat. Not that there's that much... pretty much just my iPhone.. But I would definitely lug around either one of those bags stuffed full of loot!!!

avatar

Weswog

I would like to get the cool orange/green bag at top. With the bag I will fill it with my iPhone, iPad, and cords. I would also hold any usb drives and external drives. This bag would be great to carry and use.

avatar

My favorite would have to be the 008 Compact Daypack from wejetset. Small, simple, and clean. +

avatar

Guess I am simple, I use "Bags" that store's give out when You buy Men's cologne , Have a nice Messenger bag jut right for folders, notepads and a laptop,, a black duffle bag (that will hold winter boots, blankets etc (a winter survival kits for the car) I realize that the cost is added in to the price of cologne and one year i liked two "giveaways" and one specific cologne and got the messenger bag and a watch as well ! (never hurts to ask)

If the prize is either of the bags , I would glady accept either

Thanks for running a cool contest like this!

I would choose the backpack. The unbalanced weight of the messenger bag would kill my shoulders.

avatar

broadcastzaac

Would love to have one of these bags. I travel a lot with my job and could use a good sturdy bag. I would keep my macbook pro, iphone, and chargers in there, along with my newest copy of Mac Life!!!

avatar

crystallineiris4

i <3 my Timbuk2 Product Red. Good cause + good looking + organization + comfort = best bag ever.

avatar

lemath

I like the either really... but if i really had to choose, ill go with the green one... my bag is a InCase Sling Compact backpack where i keep my MBP 13 inch, chargers for laptop and iphone, external HD, a notebook, 3 different type of writing tools (multi-color pen, pencil and highlighter) and a copy of mac+life lol

avatar

The backpack is awesome, I would keep my ipad safe and ready to roll anytime with that bag!!!! Also would be great for my camera and all the accessories in a safe place.

avatar

ejshields

This bag would be a great way to carry my ipad and the gear needed when I take my new little girl (and future MacAddict) Sophia for her walks in the afternoon.

She loves it when daddy reads her books from the iPad

Thanks

I have a Swiss Gear bag and it fits everything I need for a weekend trip. Netbook, wireless mouse, usb keys, cds, cell phone change of clothes, sunglasses, protein bars, bottle water, angst about the global economy and a condom. You know, for emergencies. Like keeping my usb keys dry in the event of a water landing.

Either bag would work for me to carry my iPad, and notebooks. I get all the school books that I can on my iPad and then just carry notebook(s) to write notes on.

avatar

richardsugg

I'd keep my 15" macbook pro, and until verizon gets the iPhone, I'd keep my Droid X in the green bag as well :)

My favorite is the messenger... I am part of the messenger clan. Although, I've never tried a laptop-carrying backpack. If I were to win one... I might change clans!

Tumi T Tech bags are sturdy and stylish or Keen bags that are unique. I love bags as my portable office or school bag and am always on the look out for a new tote for my MacBook or iPad, phone, cables and other accessories that can include an external hard drive or jump drive and external mouse. And maybe an actual book to read the old fashioned way.

avatar

jimicam12

Both bags are great, but I prefer the Moderate Embarrassment Messenger Bag. Between the easy-to-access sling feature as well as what comes with the bag, it is a hands down winner. In my opinion, the Grid-It Organizer it comes with is something so simple yet so unique, it is something perfect for the oxymoronic title of confused organization. The whole kit is definitely something I could use for work and day to day life.

avatar

Buttaskotch

I use a Timbuk large messenger for my MacBook Pro 15" and iPad. Currently, needing only the iPad for my new job I can attest that it can also carry 4 bottles of whiskey nicely! (I sell booze).
Upon looking at the bags reviewed, I think the crumplr would definitely suit my needs, and it has orange in it! Which I love!

avatar

liebowriter

That messenger bag looks sweet. I've been commuting for 20 years. I've had a laptop for most of that time and I have yet to find something that'll hold everything I need without looking like it's about to explode. Plus, it'd be nice to finally have something that'll make everyone on the bus jealous or envious or at least stop grunting when I ask if I can sit in the empty seat by the window.

avatar

goofytruax

My MacBook Pro and all the assorted cables for all my digital toys. I have been using a backpack but been thinking of switching to a messenger so either will do for me.

avatar

jokester

I like the Synapse Backpack. It has lots of pockets for all the big and small things I like (need?) to carry.

avatar

hongsc

Since I leave my Macbook Pro docked. I take my Acer netbook with me and my iPad as well as the Apple BT keyboard, Logitech VX Nano, and various chargers along with other mobile goodies.

avatar

Luzerman

I have an old Swiss gear backpack. It is a great bag. Much higher quality then the swiss gear stuff I see now. I haul around my Unibody MacBook, iPad, and all the junk that goes with the two pieces of equipment.

Only problem is that it is too big. I really like the Messenger bag. Only wish it was black instead of Orange.

avatar

undra16r

I like the orange backpack , right now I carry an ATARI backpack. I could use the extra space for my macbook, iPad, usb cables, and plenty of other cool stuff. I need it bad !!!!!!!

avatar

IBFREEZIN

I carry my MacBook Pro, iPhone and all the chargers and connectors. I have four kids and seem to have more of their stuff than mine at all times. I like the back pack but dont like purple. Both seem nice!

avatar

mathewreven

My favorite bag was originally a laptop bag for a Samsung computer. It protects my laptop just fine and has plenty of pockets and compartments for all that I need. The drawback is that it's business black!

avatar

noxqses2make

I like the sling-back made by belkin. It slips over the shoulder, has many pocket for your computer, pens, headphone jack, and even an additional seperate pouch for your power cords so they don't become tangled. Its padded area for my macbook pro let me feel confident that my computer is safe.

avatar

Daleb

I would love to use the backpack style bag.

I'd Definitely Use the messenger bag! Beside the fact that recently committed Seppuku while on the job, my current laptop case consists of a cheap Unnamed Sleeve and my L.L.Bean backpack from 3rd grade Which has been through many resuscitations ( I just don't have the funds to replace at this time) and is subsequently uncomfortable. Also I'd much prefer a messenger bag, they seem Much more comfortable. aLso i'd Keep my 13 Inch macbook , iPhone and emergency disks, And Mighty mouse, As well as school work in it, I just want a Nice Bag that'll keep All my personal effects safe and sound when I'm out and about.

avatar

Yougotstone1

I like the purple one I would use it for school and I would put my iPad, wireless keyboard, mighty mouse, iPod touch my powermonkey solar charger, and some pencils and other school items like books.

avatar

Jailbreaker776

I carry a light blue jansport bag with padded staps to make my day to day school life, which is filled with books, computer, and paper, easier to manage.

avatar

knot2afrayed

From what I can see, the orange/green bag looks like the nicer one for me. I'd keep my macbook pro and my ipod touch in it.

avatar

jukebox

I would love to have the green and orange one. my backpack is too small now for my 15" MacBook Pro that i use for school and a Lenovo laptop that i use for gaming. I would also bee keeping my iPod Touch and my iPad 2.0 when it comes out and all the cables that i need for these plus some others. unfortunately now that i am in school again i cannot afford to buy anything. good thing my birthday just passed or i wouldn't have all the stuff i do :/

The green bags looks cool and green goes with the money I can save.
